The Momentum Grant is an initiative designed to bring hope and uplift morale providing reliable transportation to individuals actively working toward improving their lives. Each year, we will award two vehicles to two carefully selected recipients, including working parents, single mothers and fathers and students who demonstrate determination, responsibility, and commitment to their goals.


To be considered for The Momentum Grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be employed part-time or full-time for a minimum of six (6) consecutive months. Employment verification will be required.

  • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.

  • Must complete and submit the official Momentum Grant application in full - apply here
    Finalists may be required to provide character references during the selection process.

  • Previous recipients of The Momentum Grant are not eligible to apply again or receive an additional award in future grant cycles.

Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection. Recipients will be chosen based on demonstrated need, personal responsibility, and commitment to continued growth and stability.

What Recipients Will Receive

From The Momentum Grant

Recipients of The Momentum Grant will be gifted a donated vehicle to provide reliable transportation and support their ability to continue working, attending school, and caring for their daily responsibilities. In addition to the vehicle, recipients will receive assistance with the title transfer process to ensure a smooth and supported transition. Each vehicle given will undergo a 100-point inspection to ensure and assess the overall mechanical safety and cosmetic condition of all vehicles.

From The Way Foundation

Through The Way Foundation’s ongoing support network, recipients may also be connected to additional wraparound resources such as Nutritional Assistance, Workforce Assistance, Work Certication Access, Peer Support and Counseling, and much more.

Reliable transportation is often the missing link between effort and progress. Without it, maintaining employment, pursuing education, and caring for a family can become significantly more difficult. The Momentum Grant exists to remove that barrier and give deserving individuals the ability to move forward with confidence and consistency.

Is this grant only for single parents?

No. While single mothers and fathers are encouraged to apply, The Momentum Grant is open to a broader group of individuals including working parents, students, and others who are actively working toward improving their circumstances and demonstrate a genuine transportation need.

Can students apply?

Yes. Students are welcome to apply as long as they meet the eligibility requirements, including being 18 years or older. In order for us to give this grant to a student, they must also have to be in college part-time/full-time and be able to sustain the vehicle's insurance.

Do I need perfect credit?

No. Credit score is not a determining factor in the selection process. This grant is focused on need, responsibility, character, and commitment to personal growth rather than financial history.

Is there an application fee?

No. There is no fee to apply for The Momentum Grant. The application is completely free.

What type of vehicles are awarded?

Vehicles awarded through the grant will vary based on availability and donations. Each vehicle is selected with reliability and safety in mind to ensure recipients have dependable transportation.

How are recipients selected?

Recipients are chosen through a review process that considers demonstrated need, employment or educational stability, personal story, and overall commitment to growth. Finalists may also be asked to provide additional documentation or character references.
